Since we had spend some much of March and April not at home, May was supposed to be our catch up month. Though, we did end up filling it with lots of fun things. Asa made good food, we did some top secret spying, had a couple of library crafts (and I discovered how much better their sewing machines are than mine, so I even bring my hemming projects there), I was asked to design and print the summer reading shirts at the library, which was exciting! We discovered how much fun virtual reality mini golf is- and shared that awesomeness with the neighborhood. Speaking of neighbors (and honarary ones) we hung out with them some, since it had been awhile, and even made it to Busch Gardens with some of them on a trip for their Food and Wine Festival (not nearly as awesome as Disney's, but you cannot beat the passholder discounts from Busch/Seaworld), We did some bike rides, some pool trips, and celebrated Cinco De Mayo with our usual taco spread. Asa got not just a new computer- but a desktop PC for himself, something he hasn't had in forever. Hayden got hired at the Rec Center (which resulted in weeks of me humming the Parks and Rec theme song), and has for the most part enjoyed their new 'government' job, as we call it. And then we went to see AJR at Amalie. Asa wasn't sold on going, he was kind of indifferent, but Hayden and I really wanted to go. And it was a good thing- because it was an AMAZING show. Asa has a new found love of AJR, and they get played a whole lot more in this house. For real though, maybe my favorite show I've been to. Of course, there was the northern lights, too- despite our best efforts, we didn't get to see anything here, but Garrett sent me some awesome pictures from Ohio. And, May meant there were baby cranes all around, which I always let Allison know when they appear because of her love for birds. (Though, next year, she'll be here for baby crane season, and I could not be more excited!) I haven't been doing many markets for my ears over the summer (it's just so hot out there), but I did do decent in a few before my hiatus, and I think when I come back in the fall, I'm going to have some dog ears for sale too. Or maybe I can even take them the shelter for puppy pictures!
And, I'm STILL months behind, so enjoy all these pictures, way out of order!
